Not an official Austin ISD tool. This is an independent community project and is
not affiliated with or endorsed by the district; it assembles AISD’s own published data into these views.
It shows only student reassignment and building utilization, is based on attendance-zone (resident)
assignments, and does not account for transfers — students who attend a school outside their zone —
so real enrollment shifts can differ. It also does not reflect school ratings, neighborhood continuity,
travel distance, or other effects, which matter too.
How to read it. Reassigned away is the share of a school’s current students moved elsewhere.
Student swap is the part of that swapped one-for-one with new students — it tells a school being
repopulated apart from one simply shrinking. Utilization change is how full the building is
projected to be in 2027, scenario versus today, in percentage points.
Utilization uses AISD Oak/Elm attendance projections at the 2027 horizon shown on the district maps;
capacity is from the AISD Redistricting Report.
